The Lost Gardens of Heligan:
Heligan’s historic gardens were unknown and unseen; lost to the brambles of time since the outbreak of WW1. Now it is Europe’s largest garden restoration; a world of romance, nostalgia and adventure awaits your discovery. Visit the jungle, pleasure grounds, produce gardens and 60 acres of woodland with iconic sulpures such as The Giant’s Head, Mud Maid and Grey Lady.
Morwellham Quay:
Morwellham Quay is part of the Cornwall and West Devon Mining World Heritage site, an historic copper ore port, village, copper mine & railway where you can take in Victorian miners' cottages, cooperage, the blacksmiths and assayer's work places, quayside and village centre. Here you can opt for a 1 hour 15 minute train ride through the George and Charlotte Copper Mine.
Dartmouth and River Dart Cruise:
Dartmouth was once prosperous port, whose naval tradition goes back to medieval times, is nowadays a haven for yachts and pleasure boats that congregate on the River Dart Estuary and on this holiday, we include a trip on the River Dart where you can sit back and enjoy the wonderful scenery – wooded slopes, secret creeks and enviable houses dotted along the banks of the River Dart.
